Center for Voldsforebyggelse (CFV) (hereafter "CFV", "we" or "us") processes personal data when you visit our website, sign up for our newsletter, become a member, make a donation, or otherwise contact us. We take the protection of your personal data seriously and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.

We only collect the personal data necessary for the specific purpose. Depending on your contact with us, this may include:
Name, e-mail address and phone number, when you fill out a contact form or sign up for our newsletter

If you contact CFV in connection with counselling or support regarding violence, sensitive personal data (special categories of data, cf. GDPR Art. 9) may occur. Such data is handled with heightened confidentiality and only to the extent necessary to provide support, and in accordance with separate, more specific guidance that you will receive in connection with the particular contact.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We process your personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:
Responding to inquiries and communicating with you – GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest in being able to handle inquiries)
Sending our newsletter - GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) (consent)
Administering membership – GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) (performance of a contract)
Handling donations, including any tax reporting – GDPR Art. 6(1)(c) (legal obligation) and (f)
Statistics and improvement of the website - GDPR Art. 6(1)(f), as well as consent with respect to non-essential cookies (see our cookie policy)
Any processing of sensitive data in connection with counselling - GDPR Art. 9(2)(a) (explicit consent) or (c) (protection of vital interests), depending on the specific situation
4. Disclosure of information and data processors
We do not disclose your personal data to third parties unless necessary to deliver our services, or we are legally required to do so. We use data processors for, among other things, sending newsletters, web analytics, and payment processing. A data processing agreement has been entered into with all data processors, ensuring that your data is handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable law.
We do not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA unless the recipient provides an adequate level of protection, e.g. via the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
5. Retention and deletion
We only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as we are legally required to do so (e.g. under the Danish Bookkeeping Act). Data that is no longer necessary is deleted or anonymised on an ongoing basis.
